The occurrence of dental abnormalities affecting both the primary and permanent dentition in children with oral clefts has been well documented.1-5 These abnormalities can be in the number, morphology, or eruption pattern of the teeth and are more frequent in children with clefts than in children without clefts.1 Specifically, both supernumerary and fused teeth have been shown to occur with greater frequency in children with clefts. 2, 3 The occurrence of supernumerary succedaneous teeth
